Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha and other pro-Kannada organisations have reiterated their call for a Karnataka bandh on September 26 to protest the opposition to Kalasa-Banduri project by Goa and Maharashthra.
Leading a protest in the city on Tuesday, Vatal Nagaraj said that more than 900 pro-Kannada outfits in the State had extended their support to the bandh to express their outrage against the delay in implementing the project which will cater to the drinking water requirement of the people of Hubbali-Gadag region.
Movement of all vehicles from Karnataka to Goa will stop on September 26, said Mr. Nagaraj.
